The Irish singer will tie the knot with mother-of-two Majella McLennan in his home town of Kincasslagh, Donegal, on November 3.

Daniel proposed to 41-year-old Majella last Christmas Day and presented her with a stunning diamond and emerald ring.

It is thought that because Majella is divorced, she and devout Catholic Daniel may wed at a civil ceremony in Tenerife before having the marriage blessed at the church ceremony.

The couple met in Tenerife, where Majella's parents own two restaurants and Daniel has an apartment, four years ago.

Yesterday, a close friend of the singer said: "They thought it would be romantic to get married in the winter time, especially as he popped the question at Christmas. He's never been happier than he is when he's with Majella, and we wish them all the best."

At one stage early in the relationship, Daniel, 41, split with Majella because her divorce conflicted with his religious beliefs. But he resolved his difficulty after his mum Julia, 83, accepted his new love.

Majella married Raymond McLennan in 1986 in Uddingston, near Glasgow, and they went on to have two children.

She lived in Scotland for five years after they split, before moving to Tenerife to live with her parents.

Daniel said: "I have never been happier and I hope the fans will be happy for us and will accept Majella as part of my life." Majella said: "I allow Daniel to be who he is all the time and I accept who he is."

Even though this article say that 'Majella' is a 'divorcee' I have read other article stating that her marriage had been unuled last summer. If anyone can confirm this either way then please let us know
